That makes no sense. Bombings don't happen in Warsaw (yet), because Eastern Europe is not seen as part of the western world, nor a major player in the war on terrorism (despite participating such). Unlike, of course, the major western European countries.

75-year-old man dies after Westminster attack

A 75-year-old man has died this evening following the Westminster attack, police say.

The man had been receiving medical treatment in hospital but life support has been withdrawn.

His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained family liaison officers, Scotland Yard said.

I'm guessing the point you're trying to make here is that even though the shooter was Muslim, the fact that he committed a terrorist attack had nothing to do with his religion.

The shooter was a police officer. The terrorist ran people over with a car and then stabbed a (different) police officer. He didn't shoot anyone.

Looking at the casualties for those bombings, I can only conclude that the IRA were remarkably good at maiming people and remarkably shit at killing them. Lots wounded in both cases, one dead in total.

They tended to phone in warnings on the mainland. The Manchester one was 2 tonnes of explosives in a truck, if they'd wanted to kill then they would have got hundreds with where it was parked.

*shrug* Obviously I don't know you personally, but that's how people in general tend to act and it's a fair bet that you're a person. It's probably less the case with soldiers, obviously, but I dare say that some soldiers do freeze up under fire, or freak out and try to run away. Maybe you would. Maybe not. I certainly don't know if you would or not. Maybe you don't really know either. My point isn't about you specifically, though, just people in general.

We all like to think of ourselves that we'd be the hero. That we'd run into the burning building, that we'd snatch the toddler out of the path of the speeding train, that we'd dropkick the terrorist. But chances are we wouldn't. Most people don't. I mean, that's self-evident. If everyone did it we'd stop thinking it was a big deal.

I said lessons, not half-lessons.

Unless you expect the lessons to be done in an afternoon then there will be half-trained children with a false belief that the know how to save lives. And I would hardly call an afternoon of lifesaving class "fully trained". Additionally, you cannot expect adults to fully retain first aid training that they received five, ten, twenty years prior.

Maybe you think it should be the case that if something like this happens again all of London should descend upon the scene and start administering first aid, and anyone doing otherwise gets shunned as a coward, but that's just not realistic.

And a half-trained child is better than an untrained child.

No children running towards a terrorist attack is better than any children doing so, trained or not. Let us not forget the terrorist tactic of setting two bombs, the second meant to kill the people responding to the first.

For what it's worth: unless you're doing multi-day courses at least 3-4 times a year, there are more days on which you've forgotten essentially everything from your first aid courses than there are days when you remember them.
