First off: calling Israel an "Apartheid state" Is not only factually wrong, it is also demeaning to South Africans who did live under apartheid. Arabs in Israel are freer than in any Arab country.
Secondly: only in the six day war was Israel the attacker (even then they had a causes belli). 1948 was an Arab invasion, Yom Kippur was an Arab war of aggression, etc.
Thirdly: while supporters of terrible groups like hezbollah may claim they only oppose the "Zionists", groups like Hezbollah and Hamas have made it their mission to end the state of Israel and commit genocide against its people. I always enjoy how states that are far worse than Israel tend to rank lower in the pecking order of states that need to be held accountable.

If America has influence over Israeli policies, it should focus more on Israel.

It is pointless for Americans to condemn the actions of countries they have no influence over. North Korea is far worse then Israel, but it's a waste of time for American citizens to condemn it, because they have no capacity too make it stop. Since US tax dollars are going to building illegal Israeli settlements on occupied land, they DO have both some influence, and some responsibility to act.

Criticising North Korea will FEEL good, Criticising Israeli policies might DO good. This 'other people are worse' argument is contemptible excuse-making and evasion and has generally been used by apologists for violence and repression for eons. It's not less bullshit now then it was then.
