Also, while I do find running over protesters to be reprehensible I do wonder why people act so surprised if someone gets run over while standing in the middle of the street. Because most of the time, a person driving a car would slow down or at least honk their horn to try to get the person out of the way. For them to just run them over is, at the very least, negligence on the driver's part (and I'd hope that when a person is protesting, provided he has a permit to protest in the street, you couldn't say the protester was negligent being there). In addition, you're hardly assuming the risk the same way getting hit with a baseball at a baseball game is.

Yet somehow I'd imagine if you walked out into the middle of a highway it would surprise no one if you got hit by a car. Also, since when can you acquire a permit to protest in the middle of the street?

Cities do it all the time for their streets.

Now, I know protesting on highways can get you arrested, but I don't see why the federal government or the states can't do for the highways what the cities can for their streets.

Considering Trump won with at least 10,000 less votes than Bush lost Michigan (who lost by like 5%), clearly Clinton was just a real shitty choice for those states in general. I don't think it'd take much for those states to go back Democrat, especially after the disaster that is this administration.

“He said I would get paid, like, five hundred dollars, and I could buy a Nintendo Switch,” Tenco said.

Taking Ryan at his word, the thirteen-year-old, from Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, “pulled several all-nighters” to complete the health-care bill in time for its Monday unveiling.
“I basically went to the Wikipedia page for Obamacare, cut and pasted a bunch of stuff and then threw in some tax cuts and whatnot,” he said. “It doesn’t sound like a lot of work, but I was super tired by the end of it.”
