Didn't Trump doge the draft by claiming something was wrong with his feet, and he still played sports?

How to not get in trouble dodging the draft:
Step One: be wealthy
Step Two: Lie

His military capabilities with the task force assigned to him which was TSN 48 was fucking brilliant and groundbreaking. His concept of operations while not revolutionary completely overwhelmed any opposition he faced during the initial stages of the Iraq war. His need for both speed and maneuver would put Guderian to shame.

I'm guessing the transparently bungled and rushed Yemen raid may have some to do with it. Soldiers are willing to risk their lives in dangerous situations, but when the President rushes an order for a raid with poor intelligence that led the groups into an unexpected massive firefight, and said firefight killed a SEAL because of the lack of proper intelligence, you are going to get some unhappy people.

Also a lot are probably not enthused with the North Korea shit, I imagine. We have a lot of shit on our plate currently, and destabilizing another region when we should be focusing our efforts in the Mid-East isn't going to win a lot of people over, particularly when the country is such a laughable threat to the US proper. I imagine that's what the thought process is, anyway.

Also, there's a step 3 for seeking political office:

Step 3: Say you support the troops.

I'm pretty sure Trump could literally punch a homeless veteran right now and his support wouldn't waver.
