But then they wouldn't've been able to go on a tirade about black people acting entitled and how they should "shut [their] fucking mouth" because at least THEY aren't enslaved ignoring that their ancestors were and were not fairly integrated into society after their emancipation and that the racism bourne of that era and the discrimination bourne of that racism still pervades modern society resulting in black people on average being born poorer than whites and having more obstacles to overcome in life if they are to be met with success hence the existence of affirmative action programs that seek to redress that balance and set all students on an even playing field and while technically the proposal referenced in the linked article is not an affirmative action program per se (at least given my understanding of the meaning of that term) it exists in a similar vein of trying to redress the imbalance caused by hundreds of years of systemic oppression and discrimination and while I'm not sure if I agree with the exact sentiment behind this specific proposal I think that Drakonisch's reaction to it is blatantly ridiculous.
