I notice that Merkel keeps delegating more and more tasks from state level to federal level and from other ministries directly to the German Chancellery. I like this approach because we have got so many sloppy ministries in 16 states and then one on the federal level who can´t coordinate properly on many issues and then the god-chancellor comes in and like the proud father of our nation takes matters into her own (more specifically the minister of the German chancellery) hands.

It says more something about german voting habits than NSG. Most german voters, especially of the older generation, tend traditionally to vote for either CDU or SPD which gives them a structural advantage. This trend is however shrinking.

The AfD is likely to get between 10% and 15% in the upcomming elections. Recent polls have shown odd fluctuations that seem generally to favor smaller parties. There might be a huge stealth protest vote which may benefit the AfD, which is however plagued by generally poor performance. Depending on the performance of the SPD they might surpass them, which brings us...

Schulz isn't exactly left-wing, at least not more than Trudeau but rather less so. Nor is his party. The SPD is a centrist party with at best luke warm left-positions and currently being little more than (almost ridiculously) spineless Merkel auxilaries which is exactly the reason they're stuck below under 25%. The missing percentages are soaked up by the Linke which has parts that broke off from the SPD during the mid 2000s in the wake of the "neo-liberal" Agenda 2010 reforms by Gerhard Schröder. (Basically the Carlos Menem of Germany...) They have never recovered from that ever since.

I am considering those Days to place a bet on that the SPD gets less than 20% in the upcomming elections.

From all participating parties, the AfD is the most reasonable one. The CDU betrayed its values long ago and the CSU recently too. Adenauer and F. J. Strauß wouldn't want to have anything to do with present-day CDU/CSU. They'd vote probably for the AfD or the Freie Wähler. The AfD has to enter the federal parliament.
