Any physical contact with her mother counts.

So, yet again, I am a non entity now.

Swaglord's Thoughts: The LEGO Batman Movie

PostPosted: Sat Feb 25, 2017 7:26 pm

A long time ago, and by that, I mean last weekend, I shared my thoughts on the Academy-Award nominated film La La Land. This weekend, me and my older brother watched The LEGO Batman Movie. Here are my thoughts after arriving home.

:)

Oh my god this was the best movie ever!

I haven't enjoyed a film this much since I watched M. Night Shyamalan's masterpiece-of-comedy Split. This was great. It was truly great. The comedy was enjoyable, the animation was great, the film was full of energy, never feeling dull, the pacing was superb, and Batman's portrayal in this film was great; it was a true laugh riot.

To be honest, I enjoyed this film more than La La Land, and you know what? I am proud to have enjoyed this film better than La La Land.

Young Children would enjoy the bright colors and silliness, while older viewers would enjoy the witty dialogue and the best words. And for us unabashed lovers of superhero fiction, you can make a game of spotting all of the references to older Batman works.

All in all, I would give this film an A+. I loved this movie. My only regret was that I couldn't buy more than one soda at the concession stand...

So, what do you think? Do you feel my opinion is justified?

Eh, that's usual.

He's on for a while, then he goes off for a while, then he comes back on, then goes off again, etc..

After much pacing around the living room, I am baffled. I enjoyed what is essentially a film made of Product Placement more than an Academy-Award Nominee.

How has it come to this? I thought I had good taste in films? Please help me with this conundrum... :(

Khalisako, as a friend (Or at the very least, an internet acquaintance.), I am troubled by the amount of alcoholic beverages that you consume. Every time you post, which is quite often, you appear to be inebriated. It worries me, mainly due to the negative health and financial affects due to overconsumption of said beverages. If you are able to, I politely implore you to seek help.

You do realize that the Academy is incredibly biased, right?

Do you also realize that it doesn't matter what the media's goal is, as long as it tells a good story, right? (Tis why I love Gundam, even though it's a giant toy commercial)

Can't say anything about Batman movie, but I thought La La Land was incredibly boring.

In fact, you all sound inebriated!

Vodka means water in Russian.

Sorry, but The Room is rated R. As a matter of principle, I do not view R-rated films, even though the MPAA Film Ratings system is arbitrary and heavily prone to the capricious whims and biases of the Ratings Board.

Also, I have far too many friends to fit inside my living room. I don't want to have to invite the entire 10th Grade class of [NAME OF SCHOOL CENSORED].

(Also, as a side note, faking your entire personality for social ease works wonders. :) )

I can assure you, as a responsible young man, that I do not consume alcoholic beverages, nor do I use recreational drugs.
