Well screw the school for requiring something like that anyway. Wish there were ready options for all the students who aren't in favor of the same so they could see a rapid drop in their income, but alas. Sad state when the only thing that seems to get results is the influx or lack of money.

Says the woman trying to make her own business succeed. Yeah. At least I'm not screwing anyone else over to do so. >_<

That is essentially capitalism now, it is both a beautiful and a horrifying thing.

Wait, so your professors didn't sign an anti LGBT employee contract and there's also the head of... Like, so are your professors plus the head of the cyber security program not going to return to work next year?

Three of my current professors - including the head of the cybersecurity program which is my program - are leaving; they've found jobs or are in the job application process for positions at other colleges.

Besides my three professors/head of my program, numerous professors across campus that I don't have classes with have also announced their departure. I've lost count of how many are leaving.

Any indication from the school that there is any concern? Any blowback from the public? Any legal measures to be taken?

It's a private college and they're playing the "Biblical standards" card. I don't know if the college obtains federal funding or not - but it will surely lose federal funding because of the discriminatory contract, yes.

That's a bummer. Your sexual orientation should not be an issue for studying. Be that at either a secular or a religious institution. Who you fuck in bed should be of no consequences where it comes to earn a living and/or getting a degree.

Well... Is that such a certainty now?

I'm legitimately asking, not sure about how Trump or the Congress in general will see such a case, though my best guess is "more positively than the government a year ago"

I have no idea if the college gets federal funding - or how much if it does - since it is a private institution, but if it does receive federal funding I hope it loses it. I've been in the process of trying to transfer for about a month now and hope to be at another college come next semester.

Numerous professors and students have expressed anger towards the Community Life Covenant - the contract is called. Alumni have also expressed anger. The administration has expressed no concern except for one meeting the President and Vice President had for the students as an open forum for questions - staff and alumni barred from attending - and the meeting resulted in many good questions being largely unanswered and no word of a second open forum.

Yes, but at least I put the cap on the milk gallon and returned it to the fridge. There should be no other requirement in terms of milk placement and facing.
