Who the hell would buy 4chan anyway?

No idea. I assert that Tumblr and 4Chan exist on a sort of spectrum. On the one side, you have Tumblr which is the "champion" of order and "social justice". On the other, you have 4Chan -- a cesspit of chaos. And then there's Reddit and Imgur which sit somewhere in the middle of this spectrum -- and it is here that the best of both ends are filtered for my amusement.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth. And then the murders started.

American actress Meryl Streep has had an extensive career in film, television, and stage. And then the murders started.

Maybe this is a more suitable subject for Forum 7, come to think of it.

Actually, Hurde, in this instance I concur. This would be a great F7 topic.. providing it was well understood that it is just a game to add "and then the murders started" after the first line of a book and not, as it were, the start of an RP taking place in that book where we randomly and senselessly butcher the characters for the hell of it. It is F7, you have to be specific about these things.

It does not matter. For TET is eternal, but we are bound to our mortal coil. If that's not amusing, I don't know what is. :p

In the year 2060, in the 43,567,890th incarnation of TET....... a whole new group of players debate the merits of the Trump presidency while Chrinthanium gets another warning for telling the story of his first cybernetic implant in a part of the body that violates the still-enforced PG-13 rule.

I'm sure they could install one if they wanted. I know there is an extension already created in phpBB for it. Of course, I don't know how much they've hacked phpBB software to work with the NS website or which version they're using. That information would be vital in knowing if such an extension could be installed.

NS would become more like Facebook. And then we'd deal with the incessant whines of the attention-seeking about why no-one likes them because their posts got a mountain of downvotes, or people posting the ever increasing dramawhoring posts to gain non-existent admiration of users in the hopes they can self-validate their alleged importance though it holds no real world value.

Well, it is one of those instances where the tech room at NS has created a site that is secure. It isn't impervious to such attacks, but I'm fair convinced that it has better security than Yahoo Mail.

Yahoo should have their things in order by now, but it is true that it took them way too long.
