The aquarium here has three kinds of penguins! It's awesome!
Monterrey Bay is still the best aquarium though. God, do I miss it.

I've not had a pizzeria from a chain pizzeria that wasn't Regina's (Boston area only) Probably since I lived in Florida.
My friend has about 4 pizzarias within a couple hundred feet of his apartment and none of them is chain owned, and all are pretty damn good as well.

I only have 2 in my town, and only one of them is good. (I swear the other one only heats up frozen super market pizza)

Kinda makes me miss Boriello Borthers and Leon Gessi's back in Colorado.

Unless it's long, narrow, and filled with seamen. I like those kind of ships.

Nothing shameful about working for Domino's. They need people to work for them same as any other business. The food's not going to make itself and fly to people's houses of its own free will.

Not shameful, I suppose. It is helping me get money I need. It's just not where I want to stay. And it wouldn't hurt if upper management could be bothered to occasionally think about what's good for the employees.

I wouldn't want to spend my whole adult life working there. I just really dislike the way society shames people for having certain types of jobs, and the way so many people feel bad about the work they do, even though they are contributing to society... Just because you work there now doesn't mean it's the only thing you can do. It just means it's where you're working right now.

I work at a UPS warehouse. There are some people there who have never worked anywhere else and never will. There are some people who are morons and wouldn't know how to do any other work. Some of them aren't even good at the jobs they have at UPS. But there are also people that have working brains. There are people who have done other things. There are people that are using the job at UPS to pay their way through college and pursue other things. There are people who are there because they're deaf, and their disability has left them with fewer options. There are people who are there because they're immigrants, and their job options are limited by their language skills. There are people who are there because they like to dress like punk-rockers, and a lot of places won't hire someone that has dyed hair and loads of piercings and tattoos.

People have so many different reasons for working where they do...

Don't think I'd ever heard of them in my life. Never heard my dad talk about it either, him being a heavy commuter to China, though I imagine it's probably because he tends to eat more of the local food there instead a lot of the time.
