- Professors have confirmed this is why they're leaving; What person - in their right mind - is going to pursue a job at an institution that refuses to give tenure?

On the topic of financial aid: "We have no idea what the financial aid is going to look like for this other college, we know what we're given here."

So they're willing to spend more money on you to go to a college you don't want to be at in the first place as opposed to the one you (now) want to go to that is cheaper...... logical.
