Talking to my mom about transferring didn't seem too bad. She seemed to be okay with it after learning that it's about half the price of current college.

Her concern was finding a job on campus there - which I can probably manage or at least find a job in town since Asheville has a ton of businesses.

Her final argument was that Montreat is beautiful and the new campus would probably not be as beautiful (it is) and if that is the pitiful argument she has to resort to I'd say my chances at having her support to transfer are great.

Half price is the arguement that is going to win. But I am glad to hear.

- Professors have confirmed this is why they're leaving; What person - in their right mind - is going to pursue a job at an institution that refuses to give tenure?

On the topic of financial aid: "We have no idea what the financial aid is going to look like for this other college, we know what we're given here."
