I used to use New Times Roman all the time at work, until near the end when I gave up trying to keep it as my default font. Arial and Helvetica are okay. I can write a creditable Uncial hand, used to do my to-do list in it each day. I can manage Carolingian miniscule if I don't try to hurry. I'd love to be able to do a Roman Rustic the way the artist who did the Palatine Virgil manuscript, like here, for instance, http://digi.vatlib.it/view/MSS_Vat.lat.3225 ... but ... I never can for more than a few lines.

The main reason people hate comic sans is nothing to do with disability, but as a graphic designer, the widespread complaint is that people use Comic Sans everywhere regardless of the context. I've seen comic sans on newsletters, hospital notices and even safety notices.

I've even seen it on resumes.

There's a difference between directly targetting someone for something and targetting something that is useful to the handicapped for petty and silly reasons, but doesn't mean it still doesn't impact them.
Literacy tests didn't explicitly say no votes for blacks, still pretty racistm
