A kind of direct democracy similar to the style Switzerland has used and has been using for a long time. Governments should, in my opinion, trust that while their people may sometimes do stupid things, they are smart enough to decide what they want to do.

One with either an independently distracted or a proportionally elected (by STV) legislature, a directly elected executive, and an independent judiciary. Essentially the current US system with some major changes. (Similar to the way many African and Latin American presidential systems work.) I also quite like the French semi-presidential system but, again, I'd prefer it with major changes.

Monarchy isn't the worst, I guess, but it's definitely not the best because it doesn't matter how well or not it works, it is inherently unequal. I also believe it's best when the people choose their leaders.

And whilst I personally identity as democratic socialist or social democrat, I don't socialism has enough electability or executive accountability to function as a truly open and transparent system.

Fascism is undoubtedly the worst.

Democracies are far more dangerous than either.

Prove it.

The poll is pretty weak because all the categories significantly overlap with at least one other. Most limited monarchies trend towards parliamentary democracy. Most of the systems listed trend towards oligarchy. Marx's notion of socialism/communism (he used the terms interchangeably) was heavily influenced by classical notions of republicanism.

There is no right or wrong answer but I have been firmly acquainted with an idea of a directly-elected constitutional monarchy and a parliament with at least two chambers, which has been the basis of my country. One thing's for certain, I am not choosing any extremes, I just want stability and understanding.

A federalized constitutional republic with a senate with two members per state, representatives based on the population of the state, and popular vote/STV.

First off, your poll operates under the assumption that socialism is a system of government that is mutually exclusive from democracy. This is untrue.

Second, your poll doesn't include any sort of technocratic or meritocratic system of government, I'm sure quite a few people are disappointed by the absence those systems.

Ok, I personally have a preference for parliamentary democracy, but I honestly don't care an extreme amount about the structure of a government so much as the results of the government. Hypothetically, most forms of government could yield results and policies that I find favourable.
