I was there with a few other people here and there jeering the protestors.

It was fun.

Those Fascist trash containers sure paid for their crimes I can tell you.

It effectively implies that you do not tolerate those views which do not resonate with your very own. Very dangerous logic.

It's considered trolling, that's why. And no, we're not going to discuss it here, that's not what this thread is about. I just wouldn't go there.

Gender dysphoria is undeniably a mental illness. It's not debatable and there's nothing to be discussed. I'm bipolar. That's a mental illness. I'm not saying it's a bad thing to have a mental illness.

I'm not meaning to piss people off, is all I'm trying to say. I apologize if people took it that way.

1. "As Milo himself has said in the past, if somebody is wrong talk about it. Shine the light on it. But apparently those outside the venue couldn't afford to have any lights shown on opinions they disagree with." - Originally, the protest was actually peacefully done by the very liberals you criticize for violence. Reports from news and the police agree that anarchists infiltrated the crowd and began the fiery ruckus. This is like blaming the Women's March on Washington for the Anarchistic riots on Inauguration Day.

2. "Whatever one's opinion of Milo is, does that opinion really validate the decision to shut down free speech? Especially on a campus meant for higher education?" - Freedom of speech is protection from excessive government control, while other, ordinary people, don't have to listen to you or let you talk if you they don't want you to. This (https://xkcd.com/1357/) illustrates this part of the topic well enough.

While I understand your points of tyranny by majority, why did he choose to give that talk there? One of the main points of his talk was about cutting funding to sanctuary cities, and he's trying to say this in Berkley. Looks like seeking for trouble, really. I think for greater effectiveness, he could say what he wants to say a little off-sides, and send it to the free internet! That way no one gets hurt and everyone can still access his speech.

I hope Trump does defund Berkeley, and I hope Milo's book sells great. I only feel bad for the Trump supporters that got beaten, attacked, and pepper sprayed - it's hard for me to be to be a Republican at even a middling private university in Pennsylvania, I can only imagine how terrible it has to be a conservative or libertarian at a hardcore leftist public university deep in blue territory.

Fixed.
The business and University shouldn't have been harmed but there should have been no-platforming anyways.

Well too bad you think that numerous businesses and tons of university property shouldn't have been damaged (apparently you don't care about people being assaulted, or the arson, or the speaker being forced to evacuate and then later have people pursue his tour bus). It didn't go down how you wanted it, it went down how it went down: AS A RIOT. Not a protest, a riot. You don't get to fix my statement, because it is fact.

I'm sure you wouldn't mind if they were no-platforming leftists? Liberals, communists, feminists, what-have-you? All because their opinions are disagreeable?

If those people advocated harassment yes i wouldn't mind. However, That isn't quite your "all because" isn't it?

You seem to imply that every single person there contributed to the violence. Provide evidence or that strikethrough stays there.

A number of things, but above all it's a really stupid tactic. Especially when the guy you're trying to silence constantly talks about how liberals try to silence conservatives. You're just tossing fuel on the fire. People naturally want to read stuff that a lot of people don't want them to read.

Ah yes, the try to stop Milo from speaking route, because that has gone over so well for the thousands upon thousands of people who have tried before.

It's not worth it, you're only shooting your own cause in the foot (well, probably the pelvis by now since the 2016 election gnawed off your legs). I've listened to Milo's speeches. They're nothing impressive, the only reason he's famous and has any power is because of people like you.
