I'm severely allergic to poison ivy. Neighbour has it. I just avoid it.

The problem with the analogy is this: right now we do have a barrier we've put up because we wanted a physical fence. So in that sense our house is fenced. It's just that we haven't given proper maintenance to said fence, but it doesn't necessarily mean we have to tear down the fence and rebuild it. That'd cost us more, considering the materials used, than just patching it.
I mean, if you had a wooden fence across the border, it'd be cheaper to replace and rebuild than patch. It's all about the materials being used, honestly.

You actually can't tear it out for him, unless you're willing to trespass into their property. And if someone trespasses property, so far as I am concerned in Texas, the owner of the house has the legal right to shoot that person.
Yes, of course it's not perfectly legal. I'm arguing that it's not without cause, and most people should understand that the culling of the Mexican cartels would generally be a good thing. They're a bunch of murderous thugs who make a killing (figuratively as well as literally) off of selling poison.

I mean, I don't disagree. Culling the Mexican cartels would, of course, be a good thing.
As I said, I am not entirely sure Trump's blustering will help here, though.

We aren't in charge of the grounds keeping. I hope you are ready for a big brick wall with a moat. I don't disagree on the fence being made out of wood being cheaper.

I would tbh, our neighbor to the North is a big exporter of illegal things too. Like we can make some holes for awesome oil and shit but just wall the rest off. Ez pz.

Brick walls are hilariously easy to break through: use a sledgehammer. You're literally inviting cartels to use construction crews to tear down holes through the wall.
Really, we should stick to a metal fence or a metal wall. It's cheaper than laying multiple layers of brick, and it can't be broken down with tools you can find at any cheap hardware store.

These are the "patriotic" anti-Trump protesters I hear about apparently.

It's called the Religious Freedom order.
Can Muslims refuse to serve Christians in this law? Can Pastafarians refuse to serve straight people?

So you'll build a wall bit by bit as the plant spreads to grow around the bit of wall you built until the wall covers the entire border to neighbor's garden.
Gotcha.
