If such an event actually happened which is highly unlikely, after all both nations tend to get along and economically are tied together, then the US would most likely have to contend with all the nations south of Mexico to Argentina. The EU. would also criticize but I do not think they would get so involved. You know Venezuela would go nuts.

I think we're well aware of what I said, Balk. If Trump truly thinks he can waltz into Mexico and ignore their sovereignty, then I do hope they put up a fight, and for every American casualty they inflict, it will be one that Trump could have avoided had he not been so aggressive. If it were true or not, the Mexican Pres. needs to save face since this would drag his popularity numbers down even more. For a time, groups of Mexicans have wanedt him to resign.

The problem with the analogy is this: right now we do have a barrier we've put up because we wanted a physical fence. So in that sense our house is fenced. It's just that we haven't given proper maintenance to said fence, but it doesn't necessarily mean we have to tear down the fence and rebuild it. That'd cost us more, considering the materials used, than just patching it.

I mean, if you had a wooden fence across the border, it'd be cheaper to replace and rebuild than patch. It's all about the materials being used, honestly.
