that seems to me to be NOT the reaction of the most powerful man in the world being told by some official government guy that the previous president had been wiretapping him. THAT man would be too ballistic to tweet anything.

If there was a wiretap, even for something like searching for Russian ties to a presidential candidate of the opposition party, then yes, that justification will probably not be enough to prevent the greatest political scandal in decades, in particular if said information was shared to either Obama or Clinton.

I mean given this is Trump and twitter I'd not be surprised if it was another tantrum, but, if there happens to have been intel gathering on him which the White House was privy towards then yes, it could very well become the biggest shitshow we have faced in some time, and it will not the the Republicans that are likely to suffer the consequences for it.

Sure, I am not saying that this is going to go beyond something that's entirely incidental and would not give information links that would in any way impact the race and target someone who was business related rather than political race-related, and it's not beyond Trump from blowing up on hearing such news either as it is a shitstorm that can be whipped up either way and will then result in the left seeing Trump as throwing another tantrum, and the right seeing the Dems as having abused some of the federal offices. It is what I'd expect given that this comes out on twitter rather than from the mouth of the DOJ himself which is how I'd expect such a thing to start.

However, if this is anything sort of super-sanitary and I would not be surprised if such is not the case, then Trump, now controlling the DOJ, will only be one immunity away from turning up the heat to the point something must happen.
