Operation Vin Diesel or something like that.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.
The probability of one's participation in homosexual acts is directly proportional to one's public disdain and disgust for homosexuals.
If a political figure makes an accusation of wrongdoing without evidence, odds are probable that the accuser or an associate thereof has in fact committed the very same act, possibly to a worse degree.

Very little - but he is embroiled in a Flynn-esque scandal and is insisting that he will crack down hard on marijuana. Two things I can't really support, and it's only been 4 weeks.

This scandal seems to be pretty minor, however, and while you might not agree with cracking down on marijuana (not really a big issue for most people anyway), this certainly does not put him near the level of Eric Holder.

The coverup and failure to turn in subpoenaed records - well, that responsibility does lie heavily on Holder. Holder lied at his testimony to the Judicial committee and was an overall subpar AG. Regardless of your partisan affiliation, it is telling that many Democrats wanted him gone as well, it wasn't a purely partisan thing.

As for Gonzales - he authorized enhanced interrogation and allowed warrantless surveillance of US citizens, which I'd argue is unconstitutional.

So yeah, both scumbags.

now if it was just at the convention i would shrug it off. but he met with the ambassador in his office. it is certainly enough that he has to recuse himself, which he has done, and ought to be investigated to make sure it was innocent, which it very well may have been.

It seems reasonably clear to me, especially in hindsight, that he said he has no contact with the Russians concerning the campaign. And he has stuck by that. There doesn't seem to be any grounds for an official investigation, especially considering he supposedly met with many other ambassadors in his capacity as a senator, and the Russian ambassador would therefore seem to be just another one on the list.

then it will be a quick investigation.

It doesn't until your department clearly tries to cover up the bad operation, and your sitting AG is held in contempt of congress as a result.

Eh, to be quite frank, I think the odds of Trump being impeached in the first place are unlikely.

The GOP isn't going to get rid of their own guy unless he really fucks up, and casual relations with Putin mixed in with general incompetence isn't enough to do it.

Are you kidding? The GOP would [i]love[i] a Pence/Ryan ticket as incumbents going into 2020. They might wait until 2018 to do it (so they can get 2.5 terms of it), but that would be their dream come true.

You know that horrible Antifa that's destroying America? And "The left" where we're all labeled as the same as Antifa and such apparently? Well, my dad said he saw them out planting trees at a park today. So horrible.

At least cracking down hard on marijuana should be something Republicans and Democrats can get behind to oppose the shit out of. My grandparents like...actively smoke it, and they're both Republican.

Marijuana is literally fine. I know so many Trump supporters who smoke it too - I don't see the issue with weed.

How are they feeling about Jeff Sessions saying he'd crack down on it?

Some are a bit iffy, others are unconcerned because they're teenagers who figure "well - I couldn't possibly get caught." I wouldn't want to risk that if I were above the age of 18 and had the possibility of felony charges for smoking.

With any luck, Jeff Sessions' opinion on the matter will be irrelevant in the near future.

Christie is a corrupt moron, and has a shit reputation even among Republicans right now. No way Trump's handlers would let that happen.

With any luck, the states would have fought to tell them to go fuck themselves anyway. I saw that the freaking marijuana industry was thinking of suing them I think.

Bush 44's White House ethics lawyer on the recent developments in regard to Sessions and Russiagate.

Come on Republicans, please, please wake up. Please? I never really liked you, nor respected you, but it's just sad to watch this buffoon and his cabal dupe you so completely and so easily.

I could see Giuliani being a possible replacement. He was one of the original options back before Sessions was announced.

People got tired of listening to the experts and decided the village idiots should have a crack at government. And yet not even the results so far are enough to make them see they might have miscalculated.
