Trump pissed off Israel by restating what has essentially been US policy for decades?

When Trump went nuts over that policy, yes. Also our policy has been dont acknowledge that they exist, not Israel shouldn't build settlements

He went nuts when Obama told our UN ambassador to abstain from voting against the Israeli settlements, but per the usual he changed his mind about that.
