There was a sudden about face this year from republicans for, oh, let's say "unknown reasons". A sudden hypocritical turn, it seems.

Hypocrisy and it's variants is your variant word, isn't it?

Of-fucking-course it rose. Left support for it dwindled sharply because you lost! Underestimate my white vote.

And we all know the major support base for its repeal is Democrat.

Image

There has been a slight uptick in democratic support for abolition. That tends to happen when people see something fundamentally unfair happen.

However, your original claim is false:

I find it quite hilarious that only Democrats and leftists want to abolish the Electoral College.

Republicans used to support it as well. Until this year. Dramatically. For "unknown reasons". SAD!

You're trying to project that hypocrisy on to us - but we've supported abolition for years. SAD!

Yeah, and life is unfair. Get over yourself. Did you think Czechoslovakia wanted to be invaded by Hitler?

Also. I could just bring up the fact that he won 3000 more counties than her.
3-fucking thousand.

And as a rational adult, I'll admit my argument was wrong, but in 4 days you're gonna have to deal with a Donald Trump presidency. I'm excited.

No, man, I checked the histories and it says the Republicans never advocated against the electoral college.

It also says we are allied with Eurasia and at war with Eastasia.

Wait, hang on...

No, it's allies with Eastasia and at war with-

Okay, no hang on, it's changing again.

I win 3,000 counties by an average of 2 votes each. In the last county, you win by 1 million votes in a landslide. Who should win?

Indeed we are. I have no idea what that means, though, except this.

He'll probably be better than Ted Cruz. I think.

Wait, so what it's being done is comparable, in your own description, to Hitler invading Czechoslovakia, and then dismissing opposition to it as "Get over yourself, life is unfair."

This is parody you're doing?

Even the Nazi's themselves didn't have the balls to give that answer at Nuremburg.

"Why did you kill so many millions? And children? Why?"

"Life is unfair. Get over yourself."

Even they had more shame.

And you bet Trump would be rambling on about a rigged system and the electoral college if Clinton had won this way. And so would his supporters. Likely some of the ones on this very forum who are telling us to "get over it".

The fastest way to a repeal of the EC is for a democrat to win because of it, IMO.

Its also fun watching Trump supporters still support Trump, even though he's already thrown every reason why they supported him in the first place (some of them) out the window.

And, you know, supporting a guy who pretty much violates ethics as soon as he steps into the White House.

That is perhaps true, sir, but i would submit that he was elected according to the supreme law of our land, the Constitution of the United States.

Therefore, he is just as legitimate as any president who has come before. I think it is sad, sir, that so many have questioned the legitimacy of our new President. i hope that he rules with fairness and equity.

That didn't happen this time. However, you'll find quite literally years of complaints on this forum for abolition of the electoral college from long before trump ever ran for president. Your calls of hypocrisy are hollow.

I find it quite hilarious that only Democrats and leftists want to abolish the Electoral College. The electoral college exists to protect the voice of people who live in small states against the tyranny of the majority. America without the electoral college would be a one-party state, where 15% of the population is utterly ignored, and that's a hell of a lot more than 3 million ignored votes. This is the best system possible for us, period.

Seems kinda funny that no matter what, leftists talk about personal freedoms but always end up making a one party state.

Mm, 4 more days. I, as well as Trump, are counting them down.

Um I supported Romney in 2012 and I hated the EC
