Due to my own background, I can not in good faith ask men to die for a cause in a distant land that is not their concern. Especially not when I believe whatever meager gains which might achieved will be thrown away and all they will earn is a stab in the back by their own at home. You might be ok with empathy bordering on the suicidal but I am not. Especially not when it is your joes doing the dying because somebody else fucked up.
