I think I covered this thread in my last post. People should respond to it since it was pretty much the only on topic one.

A few years back, a kid who was a grade above me got some kind of cancer. Last week, he died. I didn't know the guy very well, so I wasn't broken up like the 8th graders were, nor did I go to his funeral. I said that his death wasn't the end of the world, and some kid started lecturing me about how that was bad. Then some chick overheard and thought I didn't care that the kid died, and that I was GLAD the kid died. She went and told the whole school, and the whole 8th grade heard. a lot of them just started bitching at me, but yesterday, and 8th grader (who happened to be my neighbor) came up to me and started threatining me, saying that I was heartless for not going to the kid's funeral, and said "I'm gonna totally kick you ass".
So would you guys beat me up?
P.S., no one come here and say that I suck, because I'm geting enough of that at school.

When we heard that a kid at the school (6th or 7th, can't remember) said that he didn't care, 10 students were on suspension for breaking both of his arms and nearly gouging out his eye.
Just to show, DON'T SAY STUPID THINGS! Or you'll end up like this:

I agree. I should know, I'm one of them.
Seriously, I don't understand how people can get so worked up over deaths. Yes, someone close to you is gone. But you still have your memories, and I'm sure if there is some kind of afterlife, your loved ones wouldn't want you to sit around bitching and moaning.
How much do ya wanna bet they made fun of the kid who died when he was alive...
That brings up something else I wanted to say. Mourning is for the living, not for the dead. People don't actually care that the person is dead, they care that that person won't be their outlet anymore. The kid who died probably took a lot of shit from everyone else, and when he died, everyone felt guilty. To make themselves feel better, they make it seem like they actually care about the kid.
