A few years back, a kid who was a grade above me got some kind of cancer. Last week, he died. I didn't know the guy very well, so I wasn't broken up like the 8th graders were, nor did I go to his funeral. I said that his death wasn't the end of the world, and some kid started lecturing me about how that was bad. Then some chick overheard and thought I didn't care that the kid died, and that I was GLAD the kid died. She went and told the whole school, and the whole 8th grade heard. a lot of them just started bitching at me, but yesterday, and 8th grader (who happened to be my neighbor) came up to me and started threatining me, saying that I was heartless for not going to the kid's funeral, and said "I'm gonna totally kick you ass".

So would you guys beat me up?

Now to be honest, it sounds like these eighth graders aren't thinking entirely straight, and thus succumbing to the ol' herd mentality in response to a calamity their brains are having a hard time computing.
