Which state in the USA could survive alone the best?

Not by much. It's a college town and I don't mean the seminary Greenville has, either, so alot of the extra pop is students. On the other hand, there's more farms, on the other Greenville has more game in the nearby mountains and direct access to the Blue Ridge Parkway... I used to live on Reeves Ave..... up past the hospital.

Texas, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and part of Colorado will be reannexed by Mexico, Washington and Oregon will be annexed by Canada, everything west of the Mississippi will be annexed by France, Florida will become part of Cuba, all the other states east of the Mississippi will be divided between Canada and the UK, Alaska will become Russian once more, and Hawaii, since it was previously a nation, will once again receive independence.

So my guess is that only Hawaii will succeed as an independent nation.

I think that the original estimate that Florida would go to Cuba would be more likely than Florida going to Mexico.

New York has one of the best, if not the best, education in the United States and although it suffers economically right now it has within its borders one of the largest ocean ports in the world. New York City is a financial and trade capital of the world. The New York State Naitonal Guard and the New York State Guard (separate identities) are both capable fighting units and would maintain New York's integrity against other states. There are numerous Air Force and Army facilities in the state. Upstate farms produce food and downstate and Great Lakes trade produce cash. The Empire State indeed.

Not quite accurate...from St. Pete to Naples is all retirees, too.
