If you undercut, could do a swept with the long hair so it covers part of your face and de-highlights your forehead. Using some contouring on your cheeks will also draw away from it. Plus finding the right eye shadow.

Hairdressers are usually up for whatever, particularly if it's less boring than "short back and sides". Mind you, I've had the same hairdresser since I was fourteen.
