Well, I don't think that's the issue because... well, most of anything could be considered art if you think of it as art enough and it does at least take a lot of effort to draw it, if nothing else, and to think about the scene visually and present it.

No, the issue is "Does it add to anything other than visceral titillation?"

And no, the answer is no; it doesn't and that kind of argument is bullshit. Basically, the faulty logic is from both the fact that they believe that it somehow matters that years are longer relative to a horse's life than that of a human's with regards to the mental capacities of characters written like humans and written by humans and they used their own fucking bullshit numbers of "Oh they're reeeeeally 3 to 4 years old don't you know?!"
