Strangely, there's an artist I watch and like who HAS gay parents and I don't mind there, so I don't know why the apprehension exists in real life other than "I don't know of any real life gay parents because that would NOT fly here."

Your family sounds amazing. My mom married my step mom as she always said gender didn't matter at the end of the day as long as someone loved and cared for my brother as strongly if not more than she did she was always an advocate for him. They're both so destroyed after they lost him this year.

I couldn't care, family is family, I've told the story of my gay uncle before, and as a result it matters little to me who people love, when one of my friends came out she was shocked by my lack of a reaction, I don't judge my friends by who they love, they're my friend and that's all that matters.

I couldn't care about LGBT families, because it's not the LGBT part that's important it's the family part. It's a shame some people can't see that, eh, but that's them and their insecurities.

My mom kinda isn't because:

1 - She's a Baptist.
2 - She is Mexican, so you know, heavy anti-LGBT and very settled on their gender roles.
