His grandmother was a pure bred Moro (Muslim from Mindanao) she didn't even convert to Christianity, she died Muslim, and his grandfather was a pure Chinese although Duterte himself was born in Cebu and migrated to Mindanao.

He is only Visayan by location of birthplace.

His Moro Grandmother participated in Rido/a (The local Malay Muslim version of the North African Muslim Razzia).

His ruthless Chinese-Moro ancestry keeps showing. Also, he was only born in the Visayas, most of his political career was in Davao, Mindanao.

The Visayas was a power base for the Christian Spanish against Muslim Mindanao and Manila because most of us Visayans were Hindu or Animist and mortal enemies of the Muslims in the northern and southern part of the Philippines and the Visayans saw the Spanish as allies since they were fresh in the Reconquista, a war to Rechristianize Spain from the Ummayad Caliphate.

So yeah, the drug war is chugging along just fine. Business as usual, really.

My ex fiancee was filipina (I've said this before a billion times, and I know) and most of her family was dumb as hell and childish. A lot of filipinos seem to have some major maturity issues and it might stem from the impoverished environment of the philippines. I'm not saying all filipinos are this way. A lot are though. They act very similar to many people in my area, who are mostly first generation children of immigrants from Latin America and the near east

This is a gross oversimplification that makes it absolutely clear that you have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to Filipinos.

Perhaps try not to pass off opinions based on anecdotal interactions as value statements. Like if I based all my opinions of Lebanese people from your posting history.

I don't believe that you believe me, and I'm genuinely hurt that you think I'm racist toward you. But if I can't change your mind, I cant.

Maybe I should have been even more specific than "a lot of filipinos aren't that smart." I don't know. All I know is that I wasn't trying to insult anyone here, and I'm sorry if you feel like I was directly insulting you and everybody else who's a filipino.

Well I'm sorry. It was a generalization and I didn't mean that everyone in the philippines was dumb. I said that poverty might influence people to be more immature or less educated but I never meant that this reflects most filipinos.

If we wanna talk knowledge inequality hey that's a good topic, but if it's predicated on maturity issues it don't really cut the mustard.
I mean cmon let's be real, the majority of folks *anywhere* are dumb and childish and shit. More college ain't changing that. And y'know, it's whatever, it's what it is.

I believe he has a stronghold of the military with retired military officials in his cabinet and also solidified his local base in the recent elections. There's also a large social media "army" propagating fake news and propaganda.

The military isn't a hive-mind, despite best efforts of people inside it. This can be seen by the fact that Secretary of National Defense Lorenzana has yet to embrace fully the kow-tow PRC Xi-dick-sucking gravy train.

Most of the other former generals' (save some very glaring traitorous examples, like the current NSA) greatest sin is they are ill-suited for some of the departments they're headed to, and are at most there for the comfy retirement and money. They will likely just parrot lines for show and do nothing.

The more dangerous cabinet members are the non-military people who went in with Duterte from the start, like the Finance and Budget Secretaries, who are outright corrupt, neoliberal, and, if not-pro-China, certainly pro-Big Business and pro-money. And of course the

The troll army is not what it used to be, and that's in part because its running low on funds. But expect it to pick up steam as we get closer to 2022.

The greatest ally of the present, and lets face it, even the Aquino and Arroyo, administrations, is that the public is in general exhausted already from the politics. The greatest weakness of the Filipino is intellectual and civic laziness, which is borne from historical context and current political-economic environment that sadly amplifies and encourages this flaw.

You talk about his grandmother being a Moro Muslim likes it's any worse than being a cebuano Christian

Yeah, I guess some Muslims are alright I mean some of my ancestors were former Muslims too.

Gotta have a little bit of darkness within you just to survive. You gotta stoop low everyday it seems like. Stoop all the way down to the devil in these times. And then one day you look in the mirror and you realize that you ain't you anymore. You're just another monster, and thanks to your actions, someone else will eventually become as warped and twisted as you. Never forget that the best of us are just the best of a bad lot. Being at the top of a pile of feces doesn't make you anything but shit like the rest. Never forget that.

I'm just having fun brah. I got a weird case of pareidolia lately.

I have been thinking that the USA looks a fish then it turns out that it's actually a shark.
