hey look! if this threat ever comes to fruition, and i hope it never does, at least certain individuals here will get to learn their lesson -- if one can even learn lessons in death.

Bcoz he's the only other President after Aquino.
Also, since when did the "corrupt" in this country instigate the Marawi crisis? For someone who wants to hoard all the taxpayer pesos, these suspects are doing terrible at retaining their ill-gotten wealth. Why blow off some cash to fund a bunch of ragtag bandits in the middle of nowhere to attack some unsuspecting city anyway? They could just get another Lamborghini.

plus badly constructed sentence seems to conflate RWM and Maute
disagree with it being the middle of nowhere, otherwise we wouldn't have a refugee crisis -- disagree with the car being a Lamborghini, Rolls Royce is the best -- and agree with the general sentiment of why the fucking hell would corrupt politicians endanger business interests like this? i think they could definitely fund these terrorists, but only indirectly and accidentally; ie, "fund" is not really the right term

Dutsy was kind of right about their funding, though. The army got a whole duffel bag full of meth the other day.

But the same article also shows the price of meth is going up elsewhere. How exactly is this failing if only Manila's price went down?

Probably never.
Maute and the assorted Muslamic rabble aren't so dangerous that a Southeast Asian state like the Philippines would call for foreign troops to do direct action against them. Now if you've got drones, recon aircraft and special forces like say the Yanks and Aussies have been lending then we may be listening...
