What's the best gift you received this Xmas?

Postby Chessmistress » Sun Dec 25, 2016 2:30 pm

The title is pretty telling.
Best gift I received is: a reflex camera. Too much complicated if I have to be honest, but it's awesome.
My kid received, among other things, a drone: it's large, shaped more or less like the American stealth bomber, and the control system include a VR visor.

What's the best gift you received today, NSGs?

Hard to say what's my favorite. I got books, soft cozy socks, scented candles... No really extravagant gifts or anything that really stood out, but several things that will be nice to have.
Don't take life so serious... it isn't permanent... RIP Dyakovo and Ashmoria

Leggings with fleece lining. Comfy as fuck. They're also the most boring black color though, but comfy.

Shelby Foote's Civil War books and a book about my home town's history. One of the candles is scented like cookies and another one is cedarwood.

The books are...too American for me :p
I like cedarwood scent, but I ate too much pepparkakor for appreciating cookies, or even the scent, for the next 4-5 months :p

From the Christmas megathread:

The Archregimancy wrote:Christmas presents received include Leonard Cohen Live in London, a packet of bottarga, five bottles of interesting wines, and a book on regional Chinese cuisine.

Hard to pick a favourite out of that lot, really. I like them all; though it's a fairly culinary set of gifts, Len apart.

Knowing no matter who I lost this year, my family are always there, something to say for that to be honest.
Hmm, when a 14 year old socialist made this account, he should of picked a less socialist name considering he's now right wing libertarian.
Pros: My liberties, Pacifism, Music so heavy your ears bleed, Ron Paul, Guns, Weed, Garry Johnson, Ronald Reagan, plutocracy
Meh: LGBTQ, Abortion, NHS, Brexit,
Anti: Large Government, Political "Correctness", Communism, Rampant destruction of liberties under the euphemistic pretence of "equality" rejections of objective fact. Trump and Clinton, democracy
