Wouldn't cutting off your balls be a better method? I mean its the hormones that do it, not having a flap of flesh for waste excretion.

I'd kinda prefer to remove the whole thing -- even without the whole testosterone and erections thing, it's still fairly irritating, looks strange and I don't see any other real use for it.

Depending on the type of drug used in chemical castration he could develop breasts or other feminine-type issues. Therefore, I believe it would be counterproductive to what Czardas wants.

Well it seems changing gender has somehow become changing sex. One doesn't require the other. Drag queens do this all the time. And plenty of trans people live comfortably choosing to forgo surgery.

Regardless, I dunno. I'm quite partial to my own skin flute, even if I haven't put in enough practice hours to toot my own horn gracefully or with any measurable success. I am thinking I would choose to be a man. I am tired of all my female "problems" and I really wish I could pee standing up. I'll include a hermaphrodite option in the poll just to keep it open.

Even taking all the downsides into account, I still prefer being female... peeing standing up is just no match for multiple orgasms.

Honestly, the peeing standing up would just be a bonus. My underlying desire to be a male is to experience intercourse from the male standpoint. I am just too shy to have put that in the OP. I had to wait for somebody else to mention it so that I could tag along.

Plus, I really hate having a period. Its become far more uncomfortable in the past year or so, especially since the removal of my ovarian cyst. Blech.

Neither of the above. Some sensitive nerve endings somewhere convenient for the purposes of pleasure, and none of the secondary sex characteristics of either sex. The rest of the bodily frame I have can stay basically as it is, although possibly slightly narrower shoulders for a more androgynous profile.

Also, most posters in this thread appear to be conflating gender and sex.

I'm not sure what you mean by "if you could choose" because obviously I can't, but being male would make life easier in my part of the country, not that I would want to be male...... Hmm... good point about experiencing intercourse from a different perspective. Also, I sometimes think it must be nice to be so constantly horny.
Then again, I would only want to try that, I wouldn't really want to trade places permanently.

Try talking to your doc about putting you on a pill that supresses periods. I simply love the one I got prescribed.
