Islam is not backwards, but out interpretation of Allah's (swt) word is. You can't deny, many of the hadiths, fatwa, and other supplemental texts/rulings are outdated by centuries.

Or if there isn't a general consensus, what would be your personal stance?

Islam has no stance on that, and isn't ultimately concern with it. Personally, I'm opposed to it in its entirety.

We were in the company of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in a Ghazwa, and he remarked about a man who claimed to be a Muslim, saying, "This (man) is from the people of the (Hell) Fire." When the battle started, the man fought violently till he got wounded. Somebody said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! The man whom you described as being from the people of the (Hell) Fire fought violently today and died." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He will go to the (Hell) Fire." Some people were on the point of doubting (the truth of what the Prophet had said) while they were in this state, suddenly someone said that he was still alive but severely wounded. When night fell, he lost patience and committed suicide. The Prophet (ﷺ) was informed of that, and he said, "Allah is Greater! I testify that I am Allah's Slave and His Apostle." Then he ordered Bilal to announce amongst the people: 'None will enter Paradise but a Muslim, and Allah may support this religion (i.e. Islam) even with a disobedient man.'

I hope you are aware that the hadith is not the interpretation of God''s swt word, that would be tafsir.

What does Allah's attributes of Al-Rahman and Al-Rahim mean to you guys?

For me, these attributes mean that God is always there for me and hearing my prayers everyday. He answers us in distress and whatever state we are in.

Through His, Rahmaniyyat, we are here and have a purpose, and we must strive hard to gain Allah's Rahimiyyat.

Alhamdulilah

For me it means the Mercy which God swt has given us through his 99 names, which he has created for us so we can understand God swt.

I don't get what there is to oppose about my post. I want to purge the faith of outdated and false hadith and fatwas. The old interpretation of the Quran is insufficient for modern life, it was suitable for the middle ages, but we need a modernized sharia.

Had to look up what sodomy was. Technically, oral sex is not haram in Al-Islam as there isn't an ayah nor hadith about it afaik, but most of the ulama say it is discouraged.
