Ally wants to waste time compiling a long list of things America has done wrong (without showing a list of what Muslim countries have done, as another poster mentioned) without saying what should be done about it. I'd say that's "whining". Or you could ask Teddy, his grave is I think in D.C.

Smell of freedom?
Dang you're patriotic. :p
What makes this country awesome?

I have the freedom to say (most) what I want, I have the freedom to practice my religion without being taxed for it, I can go to the supermarket down the road and get pretty much anything I need for cheap because America has lots of supermarkets, I can associate with people of any race, religion, ethnicity, or sexuality of any time, the sports are amazing, the landscape is beautiful and breathtaking, you can find buildings of pretty much every religious denomination in America.

Yeah I'm patriotic.

Cool. I like that about the US too. But that says more about the culture, not so much about the US gov, which is (kinda sorta?) what the topic is about.

I love that "hyprocrite" defense. No matter how closely they were following Islam and how much shit they caused by doing so, you can all make it go away by claiming they were #justhypocrites so there is no need to deal with it. Truly it's the most perfect life exploit in the world.

Americans are ignorant of the sins of our government, and the practices in place that deliberately undermine the freedoms and rights of our people and those abroad.

I'd disagree there, but this isn't really the thread for it.

I do think, however, that someone who truly loves their country is willing to take it to task when it goes astray, and wants it to act in a way to improve the world in which it inhabits.
