Saudi Arabia is not the standard, and are rather despicable.

Yeah, Muslim-majority countries have gone haywire unfortunately.
As for Muslims supporting transgenderism, that's wrong. the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah speak against it. I also think it's inconsistent to support the T and not the LGB.

Those two ayat don't necessarily have anything to do with transpeople, particularly the latter which is a rather general statement. And the Hadith could easily be viewed as referring to crossdressing.

And also refers to people who want to change their sex. Those people are obviously imitating the opposite sex, which is wrong in Al-Islam.

That's one possible interpretation. There are others, and there are a number who disagree.

I don't know how that couldn't be in reference to transgenders.

Because transvestitism and transgender identities are separate? Its something that people - even some pretty conservative people, re: Iran - disagree with you on. I'm not necessarily taking a side, I'm just saying that your interpretation isn't necessarily the correct one.

Aillyria could probably explain better, I can't exactly say I'm the most educated in regards to the issue, but I know enough to know its neither settled nor cut and dry.

Changing one's sex is textbook "imitating women/men", idk how I'm wrong.
Also, I know you're just trying to make a point, but Iran is not an example to be used.

Being a Sunni I'd agree. The point is Iran is not the type you'd expect to take some radical liberal interpretation. And yet here we are.

Don't apologize I laughed, despite taking the issue quite seriously.

Unfortunately if my experience watching the NHL has taught me anything (Go Bruins!), Hockey wouldn't exactly be much different from whats going on in the real world :P

Well, good to know I made you smile. :)

Yeah, worse case scenario is that there would be a riot, but best case scenario is better relations and friendship between the two.

You have a very narrow view of transexuals. We'd only be "imitating" in the most literal definition of the word. It also wouldn't follow that Allah would allow people with gender dysphoria to be born, which would essentially be setting us up for failure.

Considering what Israel has done to the Palestinians, I don't blame them for not wanting a two-state solution.

I think that it’s better Saudi Arabia should annex Israel and Palestine to stop this never ending conflict about the whole region
