Middle Eastern politics are just bloody.

Christianity only became a tame religion with the Peace of Westphalia. A similar arrangement in the Middle East would probably fix things.

Isn't that the one that stated that the religion of the ruler determined the religion of the state?

Yes, and that other rulers had no business interfering or funding different sects within one's state. Which I think is entirely fine, since a state religion does not necessitate purging those of another faith, it just means they can receive no foreign support from their coreligionists if they engage in treason.

Aillyria would be Claudius. Temper + unwillingness to suffer fools + supporter of the P E O P L E + traditional legalist

Well you aren't a real socialist. Just a sociopath disguised as one.
Not to mention that this thread split off from LWDT, so I assumed you would think this thread was a "revisionist hellhole".

Well, that's not gonna happen lol. The Saudis are going to keep funding Salafists. The Iranians are going to keep funding Shia.

So, dabbing is banned in Saudi Arabia?

I find it dumb. He's doing it in a non-Islamic way and is just trying to cuck to the west. Following a different madhab and not the borderline takfiri Salafi sect would allow for the same benefits without kneeling to the west and being a cuck. It's achieving good things but is done in a dumb way. Plus its MBS so I dislike it.

Then again, it is really needed. Oil price is not going up in near future, at least that's what we know. Meaning sooner or later Saudi Arabia needs to find a solution for diversification of economy, since reliance on oil is never the best idea. Also, he's trying to curb the conservative faction within Saudi Arabia since they are not in the line with his modernism and reform mindset.
Also, what's MBS?

I like the economic diversification. That's definitely needed.
Ah, okay.
Yes, it is definitely needed, especially for oil producer. Venezuela was a failed nation partially because their overreliance with Oil. Let's hope Saudi not going that way and also able to erase their image as "Terrorist backers", since that kind of image disrupted their investment potentials as well.
MBS = Mohamed bin Salman
