I see friendliness as a non-issue. We should aim to be able to have a close and positive relationship. If Russia is indeed trying to influence the election, then yes, we should be concerned. Although its more so angry democrats and disgruntled republicans pointing the finger.
However, overturning the election results would cause more trouble than I think we could imagination.
I don't think overturning the election result is a good idea, either; and them having meddled in the election isn't a strong enough reason, anyway.
We could have a close and positive relationship, if it wasn't for the fact that Russia often has very different goals than we do, and they ally themselves with nations we sometimes have trouble with (namely, China and Iran).

The democratic party is just as corrupt (or, probably more so) than the Republican party. This election cycle laid democratic corruption bare.
