Nice, give the riot cops an excuse.

Meanwhile as THAT is happening, youll be on the computer at home in argentina.

Doing. Nothing.

Furriners don't have to throw their dogs in an American fight. They can just watch from the stands.

Thank you. I know most people here, including opponents of Trump, think that violence is deplorable. And I agree, it is deplorable but sometimes it's the only recourse. And I don't mean going out and attacking people randomly either, I mean doing what needs to be done to oppose this regime. In any case, I am sure the police will use violence long before the protestors resort to it.

It will only backfire. Get out on the streets and organize, build grassroots for 2018. Do not create another 68 or 72. Well too late on the 68 thing, that already happened.

Did you know the most people though the Kent State shootings justified?
Have you heard of this little gem?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_Hat_Riot

People where so sick of the shit in the late 60s and early 70s, they were perfectly okay with using violence to put it down.
And it all backfired, big time. Protests got crushed, and Nixon still got elected and reelected.

Well then. Apologies for wildly inferring.
What is your plan of action for 1965 then?

I'd open up free rides to Africa. Any Africans who want to volunteer will be made to go. Camps will be set up in Liberia, where they will be housed, fed and ultimately resettled.

I really don't understand what point you are trying to make? Either you're a pacifist or you think violence isn't deplorable. That or you're making no sense.

Is this a bad attempt at satire or just...racism?

The latter, I think.

His presidency could well be a matter of life and death for thousands if not millions of people. If that's not worth fighting for then I don't know what is.

Obama deported millions too. So it'll just be business as usual in that regard...

Really though, people are literally acting like we elected Hitler, Sauron or even Darth Sidious...

I'm acting like the world's superpower just elected the male, far right equivalent of Cristina Fernandez, which is terrifying for several reasons, starting with the fact that handing the reins of executive power to a vindictive and thin-skinned person who sees all criticism as a personal conspiracy means turning executive power into a tool for petty revenge. Also, you might be looking at four, maybe eight years of rampant and impune corruption, increased political fanaticism and tribalism, and economic policies that will be fragile patches and make-believe at best and huge blunders at worst.

Despite the fact that these people have no family or property in Liberia, will massively disrupt a country with poor public services and a long history of civil war, and are...you know, American citizens.

Again, though, people are taking this out of proportion, but it's only because they're only now waking up to all the shit that the government has been doing for the past two decades. All the scary power Trumps gonna have can be thanked to Bush and Obama, with the latter doing very little to weaken the power he's handing over. This have been going on for years. So if you're gonna protest, protest to congress, both DNC and RNC, as a whole, not just Trump.

I agree, Trump is simply a symptom of a much larger illness. Neoliberalism in America is in crisis and Trump is what you get when such a system is rupturing. Democrats need to be held accountable for what they have done as well. Anger has been building ever since the financial crash and it is just coming to a head now.

If you paid attention to my wording you might have noticed that I didn't actually support using force. Merely stated that someone other than me could argue that direct physical action would be more meaningful than virtual rhetoric. I for one remain a pacifist.

And yes, I won't be participating in any riots in American territory anywhere in the near future. I don't even participate in riots in my own country, mostly because I hate violence, but also because they usually involve people I don't want to associate myself with. The only public demonstrations I participated in was during the pride march in 2015. I didn't participate in the anti-Kirchnerist demonstrations that started in 2012, in part because they usually happened on thursdays, and on thursdays I'm out having a barbecue with friends, and in part because a lot of the people who participated in them were idiots with terrible ideas.

Also... what productive things do you do exactly? On a political level?

It will be some time before anyone dreams of ending the two parties entirely and succeeds in gaining national attention without imitating Julius Caesar to be a more-or-less modernization of him.
