Although alcohol is totally halel in Christianity, I would be cool with seeing it being seriously curved ( ceremonial purposes ). Maybe we can start treating it like cigarettes - get some awareness about it.

Unfortunately, the odds are indeed pretty long.
I don't even think there was 100% prohibition after the first few months of the Rashiduns in Islam...not that they still didn't ban it but that people were likely drinking anyway even post-conversion.

I don't even know how we got amendment 19 passed in the first place- probably rural teetotaler states doing it mostly, or some high-minded progressives. Possibly both.
It would simply formalize a cultural tradition as regulated by law if, in my vision, we got prohibition again.

I guess years after years of being deluged with "glorious drunkenness is normality" and "glorious drunkenness kills" might have had an impact.
Though my uncle's fate had the biggest impact on me.
