I don't want to sound rude, but I believe that Comrade VOID, due in part to Antisocial Personality Disorder, places greater value on the material aspects of the holiday, in essence: what benefits him.
Comrade VOID, am I correct?

As you may know, I am not religious. However every Christmas Eve, out of tradition, my father's side of the family (My parents are amicably divorced...), which is comprised of devout Catholics, has holy supper. I participate out of respect for my elders, and because it is a chance to improve my social skills.
Anyway, after I had completed my meal, me and my older brother had to keep our 4 year old cousin amused. My brother had the bright idea to use the figures of the Nativity scene in a Punch-and-Judy-esque routine. I was thankful that my very religious Aunt Tess was in the dining room/kitchen, otherwise she would have had a heart attack. My 4 year old cousin found the routine hilarious. I had an even better idea: teach her about the Holocaust. However, my father said that it wasn't allowed, and he also said that I wasn't allowed to tell her that Santa Claus isn't real.
Anyway,
We found an old hand puppet of mine from when I was a young child. It was a puppet of a pig. And me and my brother created a slapstick routine, which she also found hilarious.
Anyway,
We went into my old playroom from when I was a young child, that connects the kitchen/dining room to the living room. The playroom is now used as a storage room, but we found my massive collection of LEGO bricks and action figures. We began to build poorly designed houses, and then we found an airplane toy and a cannon toy. And I, being a morbid individual, decided to pretend that the cannon shot down the toy plane, causing all of the innocent passengers to die. She was hysterical.
And that's how I found out my 4 year old cousin is a horrifically evil psychopath.

Because if it is, I'm probably going to say something mean and contrary just to contradict the majority.

REALLY? AS IF IT WAS SOME KIND OF PINK PILL? NO. HUMANS NEED FANTASY TO BE HUMAN. TO BE THE PLACE WHERE THE FALLING ANGEL MEETS THE RISING APE.
"Tooth fairies? Hogfathers? Little—"
YES. AS PRACTICE. YOU HAVE TO START OUT LEARNING TO BELIEVE THE LITTLE LIES.
"So we can believe the big ones?"
YES. JUSTICE. MERCY. DUTY. THAT SORT OF THING.
"They're not the same at all!"
YOU THINK SO? THEN TAKE THE UNIVERSE AND GRIND IT DOWN TO THE FINEST POWDER AND SIEVE IT THROUGH THE FINEST SIEVE AND THEN SHOW ME ONE ATOM OF JUSTICE, ONE MOLECULE OF MERCY. AND YET—Death waved a hand. AND YET YOU ACT AS IF THERE IS SOME IDEAL ORDER IN THE WORLD, AS IF THERE IS SOME...SOME RIGHTNESS IN THE UNIVERSE BY WHICH IT MAY BE JUDGED.

MY POINT EXACTLY.”
