Well I think it would be the Erdogan Empire. No way would he restore the House of Osman. Like Saudi Arabia, the Ottoman Empire was literally named after the ruling house. So you cannot really have it without the ruling house.

The biggest functioning Hellenic Empire was the Eastern Roman Empire. Not Alexander's.

I would hesitate to call them Hellenic. As Hellenism was no longer something they made a priority exactly.

Yeah I mean they were Hellenized in the sense that they spoke Greek, identified with Greek literature and etc, but they definitely didn't call themselves Greek - they considered themselves Romans. And still did for a really long period after the empire fell - there was an anecdote I read that during the First Balkan War when Greek soldiers occupied an Aegean island that was under the control of the Ottomans, a group of kids stared at them as they walked past. The soldiers asked the kids what they were looking at, and they answered 'Hellenes'. When the Greeks asked who the kids were, they answered 'Rhomaioi' - Romans.

Imia and the national waters dispute have been a thing in Turkey ever since a long time ..Turkish politicians usually remember them when they need to unify the people under a nationalistic idea, just like Argentina's "Las Malvinas!". I don't worry at all, international politics have a large number of rules that you can bypass only if you're the all-powerful autocrat of a despicably corrupt, corporate-ruled world power (read: Putin).

The Empire was Roman and Christian, not Hellenic. "Hellenic" meant pagan back in these days.

Yes. I deny they're reactionary. There isn't much they do that can be labeled as such apart from lip service.

In solidarity with Ukraine, I will be censoring the letters Z and V from my signature. This is -ery much so a big change, but it should be a -ery positi-e one. -olodymyr -elensky and A-o- continue to fight for Ukraine while the Russians are still trying to e-entually make their way to Kharki-, -apori-h-hia, and Kry-yi Rih, but that will take time as they are concentrated in areas like Bakhmut, -uledar, and other areas in Donetsk. We will see Shakhtar play in the Europa League but Dynamo Kyi- already got eliminated. Shakhtar managed to play well against Florentino Pere-'s Real Madrid who feature superstars like -inicius, Ben-ema, Car-ajal, and -al-erde. Some prominent Ukrainian players that got big transfers elsewhere include Oleksander -inchenko, Illya -abarnyi, and Mykhailo Mudryk.
