We learn through self-improvement and a drive to increase the quality of our expression. Unless we're unfortunate enough to come from cultures that set our languages in amber and refuse to adapt, of course. A very tragic story.

Adaptation is welcome, indeed, but not everything new is better by virtue of not having been there for long. I prefer neutral or female pronouns, but such things aren't of major importance to me and I don't publicly declare this in an easily readable location such as the sig. Myself and our visitor aren't particularly well acquainted, and I would hate for us to be deprived of his company at a premature juncture on such dubious grounds.

My Personal feeling on this whole "Transgender" thing is this. Lets say you are a man but you want to act more feminine that is totally fine but all that is, is a man acting like a woman. Ah, we used to have the same gender-neutral "he" in English, but it fell out of use a while back in favor of the neutral "they" (which we've had for a while, but "he" was more common).

Honestly, gender neutral "he" could only be a joke, at least as far as "he" also exists as a gendered pronoun. If there's literally nothing to differentiate a gendered pronoun from a gender-neutral one, then one of the two uses is utterly fucking useless.

As for why people "forget" about FtMs, I have a personal theory that its because trans masc people don't have natural penises (and cis people don't really focus on the existence of packers and the like), so therefore, they aren't seen as the 'bigger threat'.
