There is no "pretending to be someone you're not" entailed in transitioning. A few strands of DNA do not define the authentic self nor a mandatory life path. Transition is a pathway that has a proven track record in allowing people to live happier and more fulfilled lives, while on the other hand saying "nuh-uh", denying effective treatment and pretending you can argue someone's core identity away has a proven track record in leading to abject human misery.

Drop those two cents back down behind your sofa or invest them in basic research penny stocks, champ.

Trans people are normal in all respects except that their gender identity does not match their physical characteristics. Instead of attempting to fundamentally alter their brains, which is both difficult and unethical, we alter their flesh.

In that case, then multiple personality disorder should be normalized in people. It just doesn't make any sense.

Dissociative identity disorder is an entirely different thing.
