I think I prefer an individual's character over their theological beliefs and political views. I don't think I ever had a significant other who I shared a religion and political ideology with.

2. Do you honestly tell your dates to bring their medical histories with them, and then expect to play "You show me yours and I'll show you mine"? I strongly suspect the number of dates you've been on is less than 1.
3. Sorry, "emotional blue balls" is not a good enough excuse to justify prying into another person's personal medical details on the first date.

1) If you want kids, then the other person being infertile can certainly be a dealbreaker.

That's a good point. You want to save yourself for marriage, right? I thought you said something like that in the past.

What if your partner/wife was unaware that she was infertile, and you find out only after being together for a long time - long enough to get married and such? What do you do then?

Fair enough, I guess. As for the date thing: where is the line between being 'serious' and 'just dating', though? Because some of this stuff you're expecting usually won't naturally come up until it is needed or until you've been together for a while and your partner feels they can confide things in you.

AIDS specifically is serious enough that, yes, it should absolutely be revealed as soon as possible. That's probably the biggest possible dealbreaker short of illegal territory.

Yeah, but you're saying you expect them to reveal it to you in public. I mean, maybe if you're in private or alone together, they might reveal that they have an STD so that you know what the deal is before sex can even come up.

Dealbreakers work both ways. You can't say "Whether I hate black people is irrelevant to the relationship, because you're not black"; if someone has reasons to not want to be with someone, then that's as good a reason as any other.
