It's called transitioning for a reason; it's a gradual process that is taken in steps behind the scenes rather than in great overt leaps. It can be better to experiment with referring to yourself in your mind as the pronoun for a while before doing it amongst other people, as that will help inform you regarding which pronoun sits best with how you feel, and gives you time to think about if and when you want to take the plunge in the public pool, so to speak.

You can edit your pronouns into your signature. And it's not an issue of honesty when you're just trying to discover what identity feels most right to you. You're allowed to question and experiment with gender. I personally got close friends I trusted to use different names and pronouns with me on different days to see what felt best when hearing others refer to me as. Eventually I determined from it that he/him pronouns felt wrong in almost every occasion, I was pretty ambivalent to they/them pronouns, and she/her pronouns made me feel confident about myself.
