Apparently, it's a trans person who doesn't yet know they're trans.

Though be careful, I've seen it used to imply someone (who's just GNC or even just likes crossdressing) will be trans in the future which is kinda... gross IMO

That's the caveat I mentioned, it is best when used in the past tense.

Instead of saving, he's an egg because he wore a dress, or she's an egg because she cut hair super short, you'd say, when they were an egg they didn't feel connected with their assigned gender but could not figure out way.

Can Cis people get dysphoria? It some circumstances they can. It is called Situational Dysphoria, it's interesting.

If I'm getting this, the Eggman is cool to call the Eggman if Eggman self-applied, but you don't call somebody an egg unless they say they're an egg first, or were an egg?

What if I think I might be an egg?

I couldn’t tell you how to ethically test this other than maybe by volunteer, but it definitely does point to dysphoria being the logical conclusion to gender not conforming with presentation.

Here's the reddit thread I got it from.

But, there are instances that cis people find themselves in that are not too dissimilar to a lot of trans experiences. Dysphoria is a bug that arises for a lot of reasons, they framed it as "this is how cis people can understand!"

I just read this 'How do I know I'm transfeminine?' article, and quite liked it. I know there's no shortage of Transgender 101 articles out there, but I found this one very relatable.

Written from the perspective of a nonbinary trans woman, it's specifically aimed at AMAB people who have only just started questioning their gender. So I wondered whether it might be a good resource for some people here, and possibly even a good addition to the list of resources in the OP for the next thread - which I guess is going to come up in the not too distant future.

This is so relatable! I needed this two years ago, when I was questioning, but even so, even when I realized I was not a cis man, I still was looking for a good label to get a working grasp on gender. I knew about androgyny and nonbinary, but still felt abstract, it was not easy it took hearing others out. I at least knew I was bisexual and felt secure in that aspect of the self, but gender was still a bit murky, and being out and openly transitioning has secured my gender. This article also touched upon the stuff I thought about while questioning, though I still think about forced fem, but not as humiliation but as empowerment, and also about passing, I just don't want to be seen as a cis man, I don't care if I pass as a woman, but ideally not male. I didn't really see much dysphoria at first, but I was so repressed and didn't realize it was that.

Yeah, it sucks, but we understand and support you.

I wish I could never ever been seen as male again and to have real breasts. It's part of something I like to call altersex.

I’ll take unmistakably female for 500 please. I’d quite like to get HRT rather soon so I can take proper advantage of my unfused hips, actually...

It's good that people are becoming more aware about this. This comes after reparations were paid earlier this month to the victims of eugenics laws, which might incentivize the government to recognize the complaints of trans people and overturn this barbaric requirement.

Top surgery doesn't. There's an example of a trans man couldn't get legally recognized as a male because he didn't get ovaries removed.

It depends. Some transwomen could still impregnate their partners after HRT, which is why condoms are advised for non-op. I know of several pregnant transmen though who've taken testosterone but became pregnant, so I don't think it renders them infertile. Regardless, it's a cruel and unusual punishment for someone just trying to get their gender marker changed.
