I understand wanting to present the perfect version of your physical self to the world, especially if you're not confident about it and/or are still new to public presentation. However, there is a point where it'll start to be detrimental, and make you feel like you'll never look good enough to be out in public.

Public what now? I'm a woman and therefore am always presenting as one. This isn't a thing I do on the side, tis just my life was the point I was trying to get across, never detrimental to be yourself.

Fucking wonderful.

I reccomend a good electric shaver. One that can remove the hair for the day without causing rash or cuts.

I was trying to say, that for Vassenor, who isn't publicly out all the time, looking immaculate will be a confidence booster, but becoming too obsessed with perfection is a bad thing. Sorry for not being clear. :p

I get better results with a manual and the electric always gives me really bad razor burn.

It's never too late. And I can definitely say that what is obvious to you is usually not as obvious to everyone else. Unless you point things out to people and explain them they can often simply assume that there's an alternative cause, and that's if they see it at all. There's a lot of ways to get cut on your fact other than shaving. ;)

The fact that you're gender identity is female means that you're presenting as a girl regardless of if you dress in a way in which people refer to you as a boy. Regardless of how you dress the constant is that your a girl. In this case "you're a girl who dresses like a boy" or any other combination. You're already a girl, and that gives you every right to present as the type of girl which you feel best expresses you. :)

And when I say it's too late I mean I've already fallen down that rabbit hole of self-judgement.

To the point where whenever I've done stuff for the camera it honestly feels like everyone else is seeing an entirely different photo to me.

From my experiences with transgenders, it did seem that way (although i never mentioned it out of deference for their emotions) for some. Of course, im not transgender myself. I only comment on what I saw.

I think with most psychological issues there are better days and worse days.

Yep. That's pretty much it. Dysphoria is like any other mental condition, in that its presence can vary by the day. I know for me there was definitely better and worse days. Days where things were feeling relatively okay (as much as they could be given the circumstances)...then there were days where it was so bad I couldn't even get out of bed.

For me, I've seen a relative lull as of late. But I know it'll won't last forever.

When I have my "episodes" I often struggle to take care of myself much more than usual, which nudges my body/transsexual issues a little bit.

Not sure if this has already been addressed, but there seem to be a lot more MtF transgender/transsexual people on here than FtM. I've seen plenty of people claiming to be MtF in their signatures or OOC dispatches, but hardly any FtM. Is MtF more common than FtM, or are biologically XY people just really overrepresented on NSG? Alternatively, could it be that there are a lot of MtF puppet accounts?

Its the later. The demographics shift with the site tbh. There are some sites which are almost exclusively FtM. However, when it comes down to it, the actual demographics are roughly equal in number for MtF and FtM people. :)

It could just be that the forums are so XY-dominated that we only ever hear about MtF people on here. What are examples of sites that aren't explicitly LGBT-focused but are disproportionately FtM?

That's about right. The number of AMAB (Assigned Male At Birth) people here is proportionately very high. One example that immediately comes to mind is Tumblr is a big FtM population. I don't go looking for FtM sources very often, but I have noticed that the reverse holds true, that proportionately high AFAB populated sites have large proportions of FtM

That is my hypothesis based on my observations though.

That is my experience as well. Also sites more catered to younger teenagers tend to have more FtM people.

We used to have more AFAB representation, but then a few summers back, the site got flooded with a bunch of sexist trolls, moderation did very little about it, and a lot of them left.
