Labour can't go into government. Being unable to pass a budget would ruin the Party's prospects now.

If May's governent colllapses, I'd imagine that Corbyn would just not quite be able to pull together a proper colaition, isn't it a shame

Already do, and yes at a profit. I just occasionally think that someone might consider the needs of the nation over their political career once in a while, I know it's foolish.

In perhaps the final death knell for multiparty politics in the UK, polling aggregator Britain Elects has changed its multicolored logo to a simple red and blue one. :p

Gee, if only Theresa May had thought about that back in April.

Coalition of chaos is Corbins thing, May is more a merger of madness. :)

Because the tories have 318 seats, more of a mandate then Corbin. what would be nice is some cooperation on the Brexit front, since it's in the national interest.

She received a reduced mandate than she already had, people were clearly heavily opposed to her plans, and it cost her a majority.
She does not have a mandate.

She can get a legal mandate if her Queen's Speech goes through; if not, Corbyn can form a minority government if his Queen's Speech goes through, giving him the legal mandate.
If neither get voted through, then we trigger a second election, and barring voter fatigue, Corbyn will probably win a democratic mandate, a majority in parliament, and then a legal mandate by passing his Queen's Speech next year (I assume it would be by next year tbh)

You mean like when corbyn instead of using political opportunism instead read out questions people sent in to him at PMQ's and he was widely derided as weak? Yeah it would be nice wouldn't it if politics didn't exist and instead everyone just banded together and sang kumbayar. But we don't live in that world, we live in a world where the PM is going to rely on the DUP for her governments continued existence and so endanger the Good Friday agreement.

I don't know where you found that blog, but the analysis is seriously flawed; to the point that we don't need to take its partisanship seriously.

Just to take one example out of many, the claim that in 1924 Ramsey MacDonald 'did not have to seek a coalition or demonstrate a functional majority' ignores that the then still-significant Liberal Party made a deliberate decision to offer MacDonald's government informal support to allow him to form a government. Asquith was hoping that Labour would prove to be incompetent in government, allowing the Liberals to then regain their position as one of the two main parties - likely the single worst tactical mistake in Liberal Party history. In any case, the combined total of Labour and Liberal seats was 369, easily enough to command a majority so long as the Liberals decided not to bring down the government. In the end the government lasted 10 months - when it decided on its own initiative to consider a Liberal amendment to a Conservative censure motion as a no-confidence motion. So not the precedent that the blog claims it is.

I don't see Corbyn winning a second election, I would imagine there being a second win for the "you're all shite" section of the public and more shit-slinging between the two major parties supporters.
