Owen Jones posted on Facebook that local CLPs should be meeting this week to decide conference delegates, but there are no Labour party events in my area. Are CLP meetings considered "events"?

Welcome comrade, you'll find your copy of the little red book in the post and your complimentary Jam with it. On a more serious note, have you not been emailed the welcome pack thing? the CLP might take some time to email you after you join officially, you could email a labour councillor on your local council for details on when they meet, they'll be there as well most likely.

I got an email saying "thanks for joining, you'll get a membership pack in the post".
Our local CLP seems to have a Facebook page, so I might just message them.

Must have been a Murdoch recommendation, can't think of a good reason why else Gove would be brought back into the fold.
So that's education, the justice ministry, Brexiteering and the environment he's now ruined, the twatbasket.

Gove like it or not obviously has some friends in the party and he was on the "right" side of brexit. I think May just wanted as many experienced ministers in government as possible.

He doesn't seem to have been experienced in education, justice, expert advice or the environment, tbh.

Ooh an actual paper one. I never got mine but then I joined right after corbyns election so there were literally tens (hundereds?) of thousands of people joining at the same time, messaging their Facebook is probably a good way to go, if they have one it should be active.
