My problem exists where I tried to find an avatar with a hot guy that was New Years themed but failed to do so.

Going to bed at 10, as usual. The more interesting question is boy #2. He wants to go to a party a few cities away, in a fairly shitty neighborhood. I was thinking of offering him to stay home and have a drink or two instead. (Note: here it is legal to give a drink to your child in your own home).

Watching the ball drop but hoping that it malfunctions and doesn't drop so I can see how they solve that issue with only 30 seconds to problem solve.

I suspect they probably do ample test drops in advance and have a whole slew of troubleshooting and contingency plans precisely so they can solve it in seconds for anything but the most outlandish or unlikely of scenarios. :P

EDIT TO ADD:
New Scario wrote:Being tipsy with my aunt and uncle is a strange feeling, let alone my parents.

Oh man, you think that's weird, when I was in high school my parents and all the other PTA parents were at a holiday party along with my grade school and middle school principals. About 9:30 at night I get a call from the party asking if I could get and drop off some more ice.

Seeing not only your parents, but all the other 'school parents' AND your childhood school principals intoxicated is just surreal.

Wait, there are places where this isn't?

Sure, for extremely young kids (think <13), that might fall under not so proper parenting. But me, my parents were giving me 1 beer occasionally before I got to drinking age (16 back then).

My dad didn't let me drink alcohol until I turned 18 and even then it was only in his presence and my mom was not allowed to know.

A disgruntled former teacher at my high school who was known for being a free spirit had something similar. I remember looking out the window and hes on the sidewalk laying down vaping in front of my school.
One day he yelled at a kid fro calling the statue of David gross and he was reported to the county for it (he didnt deserve it, kid should grow the fuck up, its art).

He had marriage issues, he was kinda indie and wore Clarkes and black clothing and parted hair with ray bans glasses and a soul patch.

He showed up to school with a flask one day and was teaching and the room smelt of whiskey.
He quit at the end of the day.

What a lad.
